New Sections of TK and First Grade Open for Fall
Posted @ 11:50 AM on 6/2/2008

CHARLOTTE, NC – A private, Christian, academically rigorous, TK – 12th grade education in south Charlotte is more than a dream at United Faith Christian Academy (UFCA). It is reality. “We are very excited to announce that immediately we are opening a second section (classroom) of transitional kindergarten (TK) and of first grade,” said Dr. Joe Siragusa, Headmaster and Upper School Head. “We are responding to the growing number of families applying to our school for the 2008-2009 school year. These new classes will allow more students to take advantage of our exceptional value in Christian education.”

“Families are looking for an opportunity to give their children a Christ-centered, academically rigorous, quality TK-12th grade education at an affordable cost where athletics and fine arts experiences are also offered. United Faith Christian Academy is that place in south Charlotte,” said Siragusa.

For 22 years, United Faith has served families by providing a quality educational experience. The small teacher to student ratio allows students to have a personal touch by teachers who are interested in their personal as well as academic growth. The 2008 graduating class of 34 students was offered $2.8M in scholarships, both academic and athletic, and 90% will be attending college in the fall. Upper School(Grades 6-12) students are encouraged to give back to their community, school and church through volunteering their time. This past year, students logged 4,385.25 service hours.

Lower School (Grades TK-5) students follow a hands-on, multi-sensory curriculum that allows each student to learn and experience their world - academically and spiritually. Students are also involved in missions giving by supporting a sister school in Kenya. “Students learn that the world extends beyond them and that they can make a difference,” said Beth Hargett, Lower School Head. “Our students are explorers and we want them to learn about God’s world through innovative and traditional methods.”

UFCA is currently accepting applications for the fall. For a campus tour and/or more information, please call admissions at 704-541-1742, ext. 200 or visit www.ufca.org.
